About Songbird

The Gift of Hearing

As we head into this holiday season, all of us at Songbird Hearing can’t help but think about how grateful we are to have such wonderful customers.  In turn, we’ve heard from many of our customers as well as their families how grateful they are to have a product like Songbird available.

We’ve written in the past about customers like Jamie who buy the Songbird as a gift for a relative in need.  While Jamie’s grandmother was eager to try a hearing aid, there are many people that are a bit more reluctant or skeptical to take the steps needed to improve their hearing.

Songbird makes it easy for loved ones to purchase hearing aids for family members or friends.  However, when you’re an influencer, oftentimes, the difficult part isn’t buying the hearing aid-it’s encouraging your loved one to take it out of the box and give it an honest try.

We sometimes get returns from customers who bought Songbird for a loved one, however, their loved one was not willing to try the product.  These are the most disheartening returns to see, because the product is usually returned unopened, meaning the person never even took it out of the box.

Hearing loss can have the most impact on the sufferer during this time of year, with family gatherings, events, and other activities to attend and participate in.  When someone isn’t able to hear properly, these types of events can be difficult to get through.

There is an urgent opportunity during this time of year to talk to your loved ones about hearing loss.  After all, they will likely get some of the greatest benefits from a hearing solution during this time of togetherness.

In order to help bring the gift of better hearing to more people this holiday season, we’re asking for your help.  After all, as our customers, you’ve been there.  Now, we're asking you to share your stories with us.

If you’ve bought a hearing aid for a family member, contact us to tell us how you brought the topic up, and what you did to help them adjust.  What were the main points of resistance?  What were you able to say/do to help your loved one move past some of the common fears?  How did everything turn out in the end? After all, your tips and stories could help someone else experience the same benefits this year as you and your family have experienced.

Contact us at vberger@songbirdhearing.com to share your stories.  We look forward to posting them on our blog through the rest of the year and bringing the gift of hearing to more people in 2010!
