Why is Songbird Pro disposable?
In a word – convenience! Just like contact lenses, we've made hearing aids convenient, easy to get and use.
Because Songbird Pro is disposable, there are no batteries to replace, never any repairs and no major commitment.
Plus, the Songbird Pro sound quality measures up to the best traditional hearing aids on the market, even at its
low cost of just $99 for up to 120 days. That's less than a dollar a day. (Professional fees are additional. Fees
charged are set independently by your hearing health professional, and will vary according to your healthcare needs.
(Fees are similar to those charged by an eye doctor; ask your hearing health professional for details.) All fees
for hearing examinations, services, and hearing aid prices are not controlled by Songbird Hearing Inc.)

Is Songbird Pro more expensive than other hearing aids?
No. Songbird Pro costs $99 (professional fees not included) for up to 120 days of use. That's less than a dollar
a day! Since most people do not wear their hearing aids all the time, the ability to pay for only the time you use
makes Songbird Pro a significant value vs. traditional hearing aids. For a full time user, over a five-year period,
a Songbird Pro costs roughly the same or less than a traditional hearing aid with equivalent sound quality. And with
Songbird Pro there are no expensive batteries, repairs or costly insurance to cover the loss of a hearing aid. It
is disposable – just get a new one!

Why do I need to see a hearing health professional?
Because Songbird Pro Hearing Aids come in multiple sizes and amplification levels, they can only be dispensed by a
hearing health professional after evaluating your hearing. During your initial visit, your hearing health professional
will complete a series of tests to determine the type of hearing loss you have and its severity.
Once testing is completed, your results will be explained, and your hearing health professional will determine the
most appropriate Songbird Pro format for you.
You will then be fit with the appropriate size Songbird Pro and you can try it out right there in the office before
you make the decision to buy.
*Fees charged are set independently by your hearing health professional, and will vary according to your
healthcare needs. (Fees are similar to those charged by an eye doctor; ask your hearing health professional for details.)

What is the difference between Songbird Pro and Songbird 400 Hour?
The Songbird Pro is only available through a hearing health professional. It provides up to 600 hours, or 120 days
of better hearing, whichever comes first. The over-the-counter Songbird 400 Hour is available for purchase without

How do I make the Songbird Pro work?
The Songbird Pro has been designed for simplicity of use. When ready to use, simply tear the foil pouch open and
remove the hearing aid. This will activate the battery and make the device ready to use. DO NOT open the pouch until
you are ready to start using your Songbird. Turn the hearing aid ON by grasping the Power-Saver Switch between your
thumb and forefinger. Gently push the Power-Saver Switch until the rectangular portion is flush with the back of
the hearing aid.

How do I insert and remove the Songbird Pro?
Insertion of the Songbird Pro varies according to the shape of the ear. Some ear canals are fairly straight and
insertion is easy. Others may have rather severe bends and require more patience. Here are some insertion tips:
- Turn the unit ON by grasping the Power-Saver Switch between your thumb and forefinger. Push it until it is flush
with the top of the hearing aid (fig 1).
- Orient Songbird so the switch is up for the right ear and down for the left (fig 2).
- Slowly and using a rocking motion, gently massage Songbird into place. Do not push forcefully or rapidly.
- To ease insertion, try pulling the top of your ear up and back (fig 3).
- Songbird Pro needs to be inserted slowly so the ComforSeal tip is past the second bend in the ear canal. At this
point, you will feel it "fall" into place(fig 4). If you encounter resistance, do not push forcefully. Instead, remove it
by gently rocking it while holding onto the Power-Saverswitch. Then try re-inserting it.
- To remove your Songbird pull on your ear to release the seal, grasp the Power-Saver switch and gently, using a
rocking motion, slowly pull the aid out of your ear. Turn the unit OFF by grasping the Power-Saver Switch between
your thumb and forefinger and gently pull until the rectangular portion of the switch is exposed again.

Can I order Songbird Pro over the Internet?
No. Because Songbird Pro Hearing Aids come in multiple sizes and amplification levels, they can only be dispensed by a
hearing health professional after evaluating your hearing. During your initial visit, your hearing health professional

Will I need to change amplification levels?
You might. Your hearing should be checked annually to see if further hearing loss has occurred. One of the great
things about Songbird Pro is that you've lost nothing if your acoustical format changes. You simply move to the
new format immediately after your current Songbird Pro runs out.

Will one of the Songbird Pro four sizes fit me?
Songbird Pro is now available in four tip sizes, and it fits the vast majority of adult ears. If you've tried

I don't live in the United States. Can I still get Songbird Pro?
Songbird Disposable Hearing Aids are currently available in the United States, Israel and the United Kingdom.
We are working as quickly as possible to bring our hearing aid to other parts of the world, but it may take some
time before they're available everywhere. Unfortunately, since Songbird Pro cannot be dispensed without a visit to
a hearing health professional, we cannot send a Songbird to you if you reside in another country.
